1485 Koberger Incunabula Bible Leaf – Ezekiel – Nuremberg, Germany

This leaf comes from Anton Koberger’s 1485 Latin Bible, one of the most influential incunabula editions of Scripture. Printed in Nuremberg using gothic type and hand-rubricated in red and blue, this double-column folio leaf features text from the Book of Ezekiel, the great prophetic work of the Old Testament.

Koberger was the most prolific printer of the 15th century and godfather to the artist Albrecht Dürer. His Bibles are treasured not only for their textual fidelity but also for their visual elegance and historical significance.
